I graduated from Bristol University in 2007 as a Bachelor of Veterinary Science. My first job brought me to the Isle of Man and since then I’ve only spent a year away from the island. In April 2017, I joined the Arg Beiyn family and I love the supportive and talented team I work with here. My main area of work is with companion animals and in particular I enjoy soft tissue surgery.
Away from work my passion is Judo. I attained my black belt in 2015 and my second dan in 2017. I count these awards among my greatest achievements. I also enjoy writing fiction and pursue this in my spare time. My dream would be to become a published author.
I have one cat – Maggie, who came to me as a stray within two weeks of me starting my first job and who has been with me ever since, putting up with several house moves. Maggie is very much an ‘only pet’ and will not let me bring any more additions into her household – she makes her views very clear if I even try!
